The ultimate Pilates experience exclusive in Australasia at Studio 165 Melbourne. GARUDA keeps to the principles of Pilates, but has taken the repertoire and the ideology of an old movement to a new and exciting level.

GARUDA creates strength, flexibility, coordination, endurance and range of motion within muscle and joints. The result is a stronger, leaner body, improved posture and ease of movement in every day life. The uninterrupted and continuous flow of each exercise series also provides a cardiovascular workout. Last but not least it focuses the mind and offers relaxation with exercise.

The GARUDA employs a truly unique, new and revolutionary exercise apparatus. The Garuda combines the movement and versatility of the Reformer and the Cadillac with the precision of the Wunda Chair - providing a seemingly limitless range of exercise options.

The GARUDA offers a new level of exercise diversity due to the increased size of the carriage, increased range of movement within the frame work and near limitless adjustability of the pulleys, ropes, bars and straps. Combined with a split carriage this takes exercise, body conditioning and rehabilitation to a new level.

The GARUDA promotes a new and improved way to isolate muscle groups and break down motions into targeted moves that can be crucial for those following sports-specific training or undergoing a personalized rehabilitation programme. It can be used to progress movement and to address the functional needs of all ages and abilities.

GARUDA – Key focus Points:

  • We only have one body and it is our responsibility to bring out the best in it;
  • Each one of us has different moving architecture;
  • Intention and attention have to be brought to mind in every movement to achieve optimum results;
  • All movement routines must combine versatility, strengthening, flexibility and endurance;
  • All movements should be exercised with a sense of rhythm and fluidity;
  • Garuda creates a sense of who you are, what you are capable of and most importantly provides the key to become who you want to be within your body.
