Both Anna and Campbell are highly qualified and experienced practioners each having worked professionally for more than 20 years in body movement and rehabilitation. Today they continue to train on a regular basis taking specialized courses to update their skills. They pride themselves on seeking to ensure a personal and customized service so as to satisfy every client’s individual needs and objectives. Working in an intimate and private professional studio, they provide the ultimate experience in both body awareness and posture to promote greater muscle strength and efficiency and an improved understanding of mind and body awareness. Their aim is always to teach self sufficiency to their clients in looking after and understanding their own bodies and injuries.
Campbell was a principal dancer with the Australian Ballet, the Royal Ballet and Scottish Ballet and has performed as a guest artist in many parts of the world. Pilates has always been a part of his professional training and own personal injury management. He has a natural understanding of rehabilitation and remedial exercise in order to enhance performance and muscle awareness. He continues to coach, teach and examine dance, whilst teaching Pilates at Studio 165 and at numerous elite ballet schools. Campbell also works with athletes from all professional sports fields and has as his own passion for biking, mountain and road riding, specializing in coaching in peak performance and racing. He is experienced in all remedial exercise, rehabilitation of injury, postural correction and pre and post-natal exercise. He is a fully qualified GYROTONIC® teacher and a Master Trainer of the Garuda technique having worked with a variety of leading international teachers in Europe and Australia. Campbell is currently working alongside James D'Silva, the founder of the new and revolutionary Garuda technique, in Australia and London as a teacher trainer for industry professionals.
Anna has a background in dance, training at The Royal Ballet School and dancing professionally in numerous international companies for 10 years. Injury and post-operative rehabilitation meant that following a career in Pilates was a natural progression. Anna qualified with distinction at The Pilates Foundation in the UK and has been teaching Pilates internationally for 14 years, working in many leading Pilates studios and in Harley Street London. She is a fully qualified GYROTONIC® and Garuda teacher and is involved in Garuda teacher training. Anna examines ballet professionally and teaches young dance students injury management and correct muscle use in their technique. She is experienced in all remedial exercise, injury rehabilitation and in pregnancy and post-natal care. At Studio 165, alongside Campbell, she works with leading obstetricians, physiotherapists, osteopaths, surgeons and members of The Australian Ballet and the North Melbourne Football Club, "the Kangeroos".
Anna and Campbell are both specialists in the field of spinal and posture correction and have treated many hundreds of patients suffering from back pain and spinal injuries with considerable success. They specialize in working with professional dancers, musicians, elite athletes and footballers as well as the general public from all walks of life. In addition with three small children of their own, they have built up close links with leading obstetricians, gynaecologists and hospitals to develop pre and post-natal support, assisting with specifically designed exercises throughout pregnancy, so providing a valuable addition to clinical pre and post-natal care. Other doctors and surgeons refer their patients to Pilates Studio 165 for preventative and remedial injury work and for post-operative care.
